Personal Information. Shichao Niu is currently an lecturer at Key Laboratory of Bionic Engineering (Ministry of Education), Jilin University. He received his PhD degree (2014) in Bionic Science and Engineering from Jilin University under the supervision of Prof. Zhiwu Han. His current research focuses on the diversified  optical functional surfaces in nature, bio-inspired functional optical materials for energy and optical applications and the fabrication of biomimetic light trapping surfaces
