报告人简介:
Myongsoo Lee received his Ph.D. degree in Macromolecular Science from Case Western Reserve University, USA in 1993. After short postdoctoral appointments at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, he joined the Faculty of Chemistry at Yonsei University, Seoul (1994), Seoul National University (2009), and then moved to Jilin University in 2013, where he is presently Distinguished Professor. He received the PSK-Wiley Polymer Science Award (2001), Scientist Award of Korea Ministry of Science & Technology (2006), Samsung Polymer Science Award (2008), and Korean Chemical Society Award (2009). His main research interests include self-assembling molecules, controlled supramolecular structures and peptide assembly.
报告内容简介:
A major challenging task in supramolecular chemistry is the design of simple molecular components that are capable of organizing into controlled molecular assembly, the essence of which is self-assembly through various types of intermolecular interactions. Along this line, we have explored small rigid-flexible block molecules to create novel self-assembling systems, including controlled self-assembled structures, switchable aggregates, and biocompatible dynamic structures (Figure). Here I will present some of related achievements in our recent study.
